Frequently asked questions
How do I add family members or caregivers?
Open the Family screen and invite the people you want on the care team. Once they accept, they'll see the shared information for that care recipient, based on the visibility settings you choose for each entry.
How does the voice assistant (Kin) work?
Press and hold the floating orb on the Home, Care, or Family screen and speak naturally — for example, "Log blood pressure 120 over 80" or "Add a cardiology appointment Tuesday." Kin transcribes what you said, fills in a draft entry, and slides up a form for you to review and confirm before anything is saved.
Is my information private?
Yes. Your data is protected with secure sign-in and optional Face ID, encrypted in transit, and shared only with the care team you choose. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I turn reminders on or off?
Notifications are controlled in your device's Settings under Goodfolk Care, and reminder preferences can be managed inside the app. You can change microphone, camera, and photo access there too.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile → Privacy & Security → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and associated personal data.
Does Goodfolk Care give medical advice?
No. Goodfolk Care is an organizational tool to help families track and coordinate care. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider about medications and care decisions, and call your local emergency number in an emergency.
